2026“VISUREAL·国际影像艺术季”（VIIAF）立足成都——这一丝绸之路历史与当代文化交汇的重要节点，面向“一带一路”沿线及全球展开策展视野。通过汇聚摄影、微电影、短视频、AI 影像及 AR/VR 装置等多元影像形式，艺术季聚焦人员、物资、观念与技术在不同时空中的迁徙、流动与交汇。策展既回望历史遗产，也着眼于文明在持续对话中不断生成的全新文化意义。

2026 VISUREAL · International Image Art Festival (VIIAF)
As a continuously evolving contemporary image-based art medium, imagery has become a vital cognitive bridge connecting historical experience with present perception. In today’s context, where globalization and digital technologies are deeply intertwined, images not only reshape the ways culture is communicated but also continuously influence how we understand history, space, and the world. Especially against the backdrop of the ongoing Belt and Road Initiative and deepening cross-regional exchanges, imagery provides new perspectives for reinterpreting the historical memories and lived experiences carried by the Silk Road. Within this framework, the 2026 VISUREAL·International Image Art Festival (VIIAF) places image-based art at the heart of its research and creative expression, revisiting the Silk Road’s significance and position within contemporary cultural structures.

Rooted in Chengdu—a key historical and contemporary cultural node along the Silk Road—the festival expands its curatorial vision to the Belt and Road regions and beyond. By bringing together diverse image-based forms, including photography, microfilms, short videos, AI-generated imagery, and AR/VR installations, VIIAF focuses on the movement, circulation, and convergence of people, materials, ideas, and technologies across different times and spaces. Its curatorial approach reflects on historical heritage while highlighting the new cultural meanings continuously generated through the ongoing dialogue of civilizations.

Through artist residencies, creative production, exhibitions, academic forums, and digital platforms, the festival itself functions as a dynamic and ongoing contemporary practice and research process in image-based art.
